Vizo Hair Color

Hi All,

Today I’m going to tell you about my experience with hair dye and thought it might be helpful to you. Back in beauty school I was instructed to use Kadus hair color/dye. The thing that I noticed about Kadus (especially the natural hair colors) was that it had a slight red-ish tone to it. So I experimented with various hair color brands that didn’t have the redness to them (unless you’re aiming for that of course).

I found this hair color that worked miracles!

I love this hair dye; it is something that I’ve never experienced the likes of before. A similar comparison to it would be Igora Royale, however, I find that this specific brand called Vizo is much better. First of all, if you’re aiming for a natural hair color the numbers vary from 1 to 10 (10 being the lightest) then good choice! I’ve used Vizo for my hair, my daughters’ hair and my friends’ as well and I daresay they all Love it!

Our hair (Middle Easterners) is much thicker, therefore it is much harder to lighten it than Europeans and if we do lighten it usually tends to have a red/orange tone to it. If you want to avoid this; simply use a hair color with a slight tone of Ash. You probably think that this is nothing new; however a lot of my first time clients’ complain that they’ve had the red/orange tone when they’ve tried to lighten their hair, either by themselves or in a salon. However, when you used Vizo you’ll notice that no matter how many times you wash your hair you probably won’t end up having that red/orange tone. You’ll see the difference once you try it. The Ash tones start from 1.1 to 10.1, the 1000.2 is a pearly color used to lighten hair and it gives a fantastic result. So use these tones if you want to lighten your hair without any undesired red tones.

I suggest that you use Vizo’s bleaching powder and cream peroxide to bleach your hair if it’s dark. The advantage is that it lightens the hair quite easily, again with no red tones. I recommend 9% to 12% of cream peroxide if you have very coarse/thick hair (usually applies to us Middle Easters). Have a looking at the bleaching powder box for more instructions.
Vizo is very budget friendly and I hope that they don’t discontinue the product due to its unpopularity in the Middle East. I guess the unpopularity of this product is because most people are unwilling to experiment with different hair color brands. Especially professional hair stylists that have grown too comfortable with their usual choices. I personally, have my own collection of all Vizo’s hair colors just in case.

Another matter I want to discuss with you is brunettes going blonde. Of course blonde hair is a very lovely; however, you must bear in mind the consequences of going blonde too quick. If, for example, you decide to go blonde overnight, there are two things you should know. First thing being is that it will be a drastic change and might turn out quite different from what you’ve imagined and you might not like it. Second is the amount of damage which varies from hair texture, growth or even hair fall.

Also, do not try to do this change by using a combination of strong bleaching powder and cream peroxide. Also, don’t use a hair dying machine/blow-dryer on your hair while decolorizing it even if it’s at the salon. You’ll be needing your hair for a while and not just this season!

If you’ve never used hair dye then just open Vizo’s hair color chart and choose a light brown color or a warm golden color, it will look fabulous and natural with a beautiful ash tone to it. You can do it as highlights using the hair dye without bleaching the streaks. What’s great about this is that it suits most if not all people! Another thing being that it doesn’t dry up the hair. The only disadvantage for me as a hair stylist is that Vizo’s hair colors tend to have a very strong smell.

I lightened my daughter’s hair, which is Raven in its nature using highlights and now after gradually lightening it some more it has reached the very light ash brown color that she wanted. Now, she keeps thanking me constantly for the hair dye, since I’ve spared her the damage. Quite a few people and her friends have noticed the change regardless of the fact that it was gradual.

This pic of the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt is an example of the hair color my daughter wanted and I achieved this, again, without having to bleach her hair.

My other daughter had a dark brown base with blonde highlights and wanted to lighten the base; so I lightened it using hair dye and the results were quite pleasant thanks to Vizo. I also didn’t any problems with the red tones. I am not saying this because she’s my daughter but honestly, it does looks great. It’s moments like these that make me realize how much I love what I do.

Kim Kardashian's hair here is a good example of what my daughter's hair looked with the lighter base and the platinum highlights.
